Incoco Nail Applique

I was really exited to receive this product as a gift in one of my swaps. Ive seen them at the drugstore but the price was a little too steep for me to go ahead and try it. One of the colors I received (and the one I am about to show you) is Casablanca. It's a nice vampy red with red shimmer. There are some good things and some not so good things, but we'll get to that.

hard to see the pretty shimmer but trust me, it's there! Ok, so application of these bad boys wasn't too difficult. Im sure with practice, they would look better, but for a noob, I think they looked decent enough.
The only problem I came across was difficulty in finding the right size... My index, middle, and ring finger are all practically the same size. As for my pinky, the smallest size was too small while the next size was too big (and needed for my ring finger...)
Ended up with this:

:( Womp womp
oh well right?
so, Im not really a fan of plain colored nails... So I decided, on the second day, to add my new favorite to these: Hidden Treasure!
I liked the finished product a lot better. Plus HT hid some of the imperfections and wrinkles from my shaky application.

Much better right??
and this is what I was left with

random strips that I should probably throw away but I keep thinking Ill find something to do with these!! Im a nail polish hoarder.

any suggestions for what to do with them?

Way to go on making the mani your own by adding HT! I'd say keep the extras for an accent nail or something on a future manicure. You can always cut the large ones to the right size and shape. Or cut and use for the tips of a funky french mani?

Maybe I can find some of those art scissors and cut a scalloped edge on these... :D

Also, taking this color off was terrible! I used the little remover cloth that came with the appliques and all it did was smudge the color around instead of take it off. I guess it's just one of those polishes you're just supposed to let chip off... which would take forever since after almost a week, they looked the same as when I had put them on. Great for long term polish wearers!

Thanks :)

I found this layout on Gisele Jaquenod's blog (http://www.giselejaquenod.com.ar/blog/) she has a lot of free templates that she makes that you can use. You can also get her to customize one for you, at a small fee of course :)I hope you find something you like!
