Updates to the blog and Dr Remedy polish

So after reading a wonderful blog entry by KarenD over at Frazzle and Aniploish about all of her blog updates, I decided it was time to upgrade my own! I followed a few of the links she provided in order to activate the "reply to comment" option which refused to work with my layout. Now it is fully functional!

I also added a Pin It button so you can post anything you see over at Pinterest. I love that website. I just recently got into it, but it's an amazing place to find neat DIY ideas, recipes, and even nail art :)
If you want a Pinterest account, let me know and I would be glad to send you an invite.
You can find my boards by following this link: http://pinterest.com/asanisimasa148/
You can also look up KarenD while you are there! she has tons of nail polish pins! http://pinterest.com/thekarend/

The last change I have made to the blog is add a floating social media bar on the right-->
It allows you to like this blog on Facebook, tweet about it, +1 it, submit it to Stumble Upon, Digg it (I have no idea what digg is however...), or even share it on Facebook! So if you like what you see, and you want to tell others about it, it has just become easier for you :)

The second part of this post is about Dr. Remedy. I received an email about their new nail polish collection for Valentine's day a few days ago and it really interested me. First of all, I had never heard of Dr. Remedy, much less of their nail polish line. I logged on to their website: http://www.remedynails.com./
and found out that their nail polish is "enriched". According to the website, this polish is great for people who are: suffering from nail fungus or brittle, discolored nails, have an allergy to the chemicals in other nail polish, or for those who are pregnant.

They claim that their polish is the only one that is "enriched with natural ingredients" such as tea tree oil and garlic (which are both great for nails!).They are also BIG 3 free which is always a plus, but so are many other polishes out there.

Overall, I think this is a great alternative for those who are trying to get their nails to recover from years of chemical exposure or if your are pregnant and worried about what your nail polish might be exposing your baby to. I don't necessarily know that nail polish is bad during pregnancy, but you can never be too safe!

Here is a look at their Valentine's colors
REVIVE Ruby Red: A shimmer-infused, Wizard of Oz-inspired shade of crimson
RESOLUTION Red GlitterA red-meets-copper spin that's sequin-look-alike laden with high-shine and sparkle
RESCUE Red: A classic fire engine red

I have never tried their product before, so I can't testify about the quality of it. I have read a few good things about these, but I couldn't find many reviews of their product. Personally, for the price ($14-$17 a bottle), I would hope that they have a really nice texture, and lasting power...

You can find these gorgeous reds and many more on their website: Remedy Nails
If you end up getting some, let me know what you think! I'm very curious about the quality of these. If you have already tried them, what did you think of them? worth it?

Until next time ^_^
